Course description

The GWO Service Lift User course is a specialist training programme for professionals working in the wind energy sector who use service lifts for vertical transport of personnel and equipment as part of their daily work. The training combines essential theory with intensive practical exercises and is delivered on a simulator using VR technology, allowing participants to practise realistic operational and emergency situations in a safe environment.

During the course, participants learn, among others:

• how a service lift works and which procedures apply to its use,

• how to prepare for the transport of personnel and equipment,

• what hazards may occur and how to prevent them,

• how to respond in emergency situations, including a lift stoppage.
