Course description

GWO First Aid course is intended for employees in the wind industry who want to acquire skills in providing medical first aid in case of sudden accidents on drilling platforms or wind farms. The purpose of the training is to prepare participants to act in situations that pose a threat to health or life, as well as to teach them the basics of first aid and the use of medical and first aid equipment.

During the course, participants will learn about topics such as:

• Principles of providing first aid in case of shock, heat stroke, burns, or cuts,
• Basics of cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the use of defibrillators,
• Principles of action in case of poisoning, head injury, or fracture,
• Use of medical equipment such as cervical collar, orthopedic handcuffs, or stretchers,
• Principles of providing first aid to people with chronic illnesses.

The GWO Medical First Aid course includes both theoretical and practical training, so that participants can not only learn the theoretical basics of first aid but also practice them on specially prepared simulators and manikins. The training is conducted by qualified instructors who have knowledge in the field of medicine and first aid.

Confirmation of course completion

Upon completion of the course, participants receive an appropriate certificate confirming the completion of the training. The GWO First Aid completion certificate is a document that confirms that the training participant has been introduced to the basics of first aid and action in life-threatening situations.
