Course description
The Advanced Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting Training prepares participants to lead fire prevention and firefighting activities on board a ship and to organise and coordinate rescue and firefighting operations in various conditions (at sea, in port, and in shipyards). The training includes, among others, firefighting strategies, organisation of fire parties, operational procedures, operation of equipment and fixed firefighting systems, as well as analysis of fire causes and report writing. The course is based on IMO Model Course 2.03 and concludes with an assessment in the form of a test and a practical skills demonstration.
