Course description

GWO ART Nacelle, Tower & Basement Rescue course is an intensive training course that focuses on advanced rescue techniques used on wind turbines. Dedicated to wind industry workers, the two-day training includes learning how to assess risk, plan and execute rescues in a variety of scenarios encountered on turbines.

The course programme includes practical exercises using rescue equipment such as stretchers and orthopaedic boards and methods of evacuation from different parts of the turbine, including the nacelle, tower and basement. The course also focuses on identifying and selecting appropriate anchor points, understanding lift angle and angle factor, and controlling the dangers of hazardous energies and typical hazards in confined spaces.
Participants in the course acquire not only practical skills but also theoretical knowledge, which prepares them to act effectively and safely in emergency situations. This training is essential to ensure the safety of workers in the wind energy industry, increasing their preparedness to respond to emergency situations.

The training is delivered in accordance with the latest GWO Advanced Rescue Training Standard Version V6.
