Course duration: 2 days
The Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting Training prepares participants to act safely in a fire situation on a ship and to effectively prevent fire hazards in daily work. The training combines essential theory with intensive practical exercises, allowing participants to learn the correct response from the first minutes of an incident – from raising the alarm and organizing actions, to using fire-extinguishing equipment.
Requirements:
- A valid identity document (ID card / passport / mObywatel app)
The course price includes:
- Cost of issuing the certificate / attestation by the Maritime Office / Maritime School

- Fire-extinguishing equipment and fixed installations – the scope covers the construction, use, and deployment of portable and mobile fire extinguishers, breathing apparatus and Emergency Escape Breathing Devices (EEBDs), as well as the operation of smoke detection systems and fixed fire-extinguishing installations (water hydrant, sprinkler, foam, gas, and powder).

What will you learn on the course?
- Effectively respond to a fire hazard and apply key safety procedures for yourself and the ship.
- Properly select fire-extinguishing agents and effectively use portable equipment to fight fires (including powder, foam, CO2, and water extinguishers).
- Correctly and completely safely use breathing apparatus in situations of heavy smoke.
- Conduct complex rescue and firefighting operations in conditions of an extensive fire, e.g., in an engine room or a smoke-filled accommodation space.
- Recognize the causes of fires and ensure strict fire prevention on the ship (including supervision over hot work).
What does the training look like?
Classes are based on the international IMO Model Course 1.20 and focus on the physical use of fire, fire-extinguishing equipment, and training in a smoke chamber. Standard firefighting, rescue, and detection equipment is used.
Where does the training take place and is there parking?
