The main objective of the Crane operation (up to 3 tons) on offshore extractive industry installations course is to obtain crane operator qualifications upon completion of the training. Particular emphasis is placed on performing work safely. The course is intended for personnel whose work involves vertical transport, which is especially important in the context of cranes, warehousing machines, and hoists.

Course program:

• Qualifications and duties in the operator’s work – discussion of formal requirements, responsibilities, and principles of safe work in the position of a crane operator.
• Nomenclature and construction of cranes – familiarization with the technical specifications, operating principles, and construction of cranes with a lifting capacity of up to 3 tons.
• Legal regulations, procedures, and documentation – familiarization with legal standards regulating vertical transport on offshore installations and the maintenance of related documentation.
• Equipment inspections – theoretical rules for checking machines and assessing their technical condition before undertaking lifting operations.
