• To understand requirements for towing arrangement
• To be able to assess required bollard pull for the tow.
• To be able to position tug boats around jackup  in correct location to achieve desired manoeuvre at different weather conditions in open restricted location.
• To able to manage tug boat position and heading during the approach to location
• To understand importance of weather limitation
• To be able to response to emergencies like broke towing line in restricted areas
