Course description:
The Singleton Advanced Rescue Training Nacelle course is a comprehensive, advanced training program specifically designed for wind industry professionals, focusing on rescue techniques applicable to wind turbines. This two-day course encompasses a broad array of skills including risk assessment, as well as planning and executing rescue operations in diverse scenarios typically encountered in turbine environments.
Throughout the training, participants engage in hands-on exercises using equipment like rescue stretchers and orthopedic boards. They also acquire knowledge in evacuation procedures from various turbine sections, such as the nacelle, tower, and basement. A significant emphasis is placed on critical aspects like the identification and selection of suitable anchor points, comprehension of the angle of lift and angle factor, and managing risks associated with hazardous energies and common confined space hazards.
An integral part of the course is the delivery of theoretical knowledge, equipping participants with the capability to effectively and safely handle emergency situations. Additionally, the course covers techniques for conducting rescue operations single-handedly, thereby enhancing the trainees' preparedness to tackle emergency scenarios. The Singleton Advanced Rescue Training Nacelle course is vital in promoting the safety of workers within the wind energy industry, improving their ability to adeptly manage various emergency conditions.
