Course description:
The GWO-BASIC SAFETY TRAINING program, crafted by the Global Wind Organisation (GWO), is tailored for individuals in the wind energy industry seeking to enhance their safety knowledge and skills. GWO is a globally recognized body committed to promoting safety standards in the wind energy sector.
Module 1 - Working at Heights focuses on the fundamentals of secure operations at elevated heights, aiming to reduce accident risks. Trainees will be instructed in the safe utilization of various equipment and tools for height-related tasks, including work on scaffolding, ladders, and similar apparatus.
Module 2 - Manual Handling addresses the correct techniques for handling materials to prevent accidents and work-related illnesses. The module educates participants on proper methods for carrying and lifting loads, as well as safe practices during load handling.
Module 3 - Fire Awareness covers the essentials of fire behavior and safety precautions. Attendees will learn effective responses to fire emergencies, the use of fire extinguishers, and how to provide initial aid to individuals affected by fire.
Module 4 - First Aid introduces basic first aid principles and emergency response strategies. Participants will acquire skills in administering first aid for various injuries, illnesses, and in using medical tools and equipment effectively.
Though primarily designed for the wind energy sector, the GWO-BASIC SAFETY TRAINING is also beneficial for individuals in other fields where there is a risk of accidents or occupational illnesses due to working at heights, handling loads, or fire hazards. The course aims to equip participants with the essential knowledge and skills for safe work practices and accident prevention.
Course Completion Confirmation:
After completing the course, participants will be issued a certificate confirming their training in safe working practices at heights, manual handling, fire management, and first aid. This globally recognized certificate validates the participant’s qualifications and skills, making it a crucial credential for employment in the wind energy sector or any related industry.
