Course description:
The GWO: ART HUB course is a focused and intensive training program dedicated to advanced rescue techniques, particularly suited for individuals working at heights, such as on wind turbines. This one-day course is designed to provide participants with the necessary skills to conduct efficient and secure rescue operations in the unique environment of wind turbines.
The curriculum of the course encompasses both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. It covers assessing and formulating rescue strategies, identifying and utilizing certified anchor points, and comprehending essential principles like the angle of lift and angle factor. The course also addresses the management of risks associated with hazardous energies and the challenges of confined spaces within a wind turbine.
A critical component of the training involves hands-on practice with various rescue techniques and tools, including the application of rescue stretchers, orthopedic boards, and manual lowering/lifting systems, along with other relevant rescue equipment. Beyond enhancing safety, this course aims to improve participants' communication abilities during high-pressure rescue scenarios, which is crucial for the effective execution of rescue missions.
