Course description:
The GWO: ART Nacelle course is a specialized, intensive training program centered on advanced rescue techniques applicable to wind turbines. This two-day course is tailored for professionals in the wind industry, emphasizing the assessment of risks, and the planning and execution of rescue operations in various turbine-related scenarios.
The training curriculum incorporates hands-on exercises utilizing rescue gear such as stretchers and orthopedic boards, and covers evacuation methods from different parts of the turbine, including the nacelle, tower, and basement. A key aspect of the course is the identification and selection of suitable anchor points, understanding the concepts of lift angle and angle factor, and managing the risks associated with hazardous energies and the typical dangers found in confined spaces.
Participants of this course will gain both practical abilities and theoretical insights, equipping them to respond effectively and safely in emergency contexts. This training is vital for the safety of those working in the wind energy sector, enhancing their capability to handle emergency situations proficiently.
