The "Physical Work on Wind Energy Installations" (Manual Handling) course is designed for individuals engaged in the construction, operation, and maintenance of wind turbines, both onshore and offshore.
This training will educate participants on safety protocols during emergencies, potential risks and hazards, and the current global legal standards. A significant focus will be on human anatomy, especially the musculoskeletal system, highlighting the injuries that may result from improper handling techniques and postures while dealing with heavy objects. The course will delve into injury types, prevention methods, and include practical exercises on safe load and heavy lifting techniques.
After completing the course, participants will be adept at recognizing signs and symptoms of injury or discomfort stemming from poor manual handling practices, and will be knowledgeable about the procedures for reporting these issues.
The Manual Handling training is accredited by the GWO and is recognized globally in the job market. Wind turbine technicians completing this course will be better equipped to safely carry out their professional responsibilities.
