Entry requirements:
- valid health certificate preferably with endorsement to work at height ( above 3 m )
- identity card
- valid previous GWO certificates (sea survival, working at heights, manual handling, fire awareness, first aid )
- for sea survival : t shirt, swimming trunks, shower equipment, change of clothes (for practical activities in the water and on the boat)
- for working at heights : working clothes, working gloves, working shoes (classes may be held outdoors )
- for fire awarenes: working clothes, working gloves, working shoes
- you must have a GWO-WINDA ID number ( register on the GWO website https://winda.globalwindsafety.org )
Course Description
The GWO Basic Safety Training Refresher (5 modules) course is a four-day training course, providing the necessary refresher of knowledge and skills from five modules, ensuring safe work in the GWO sector.
The course consists of both theory and practical exercises on modules identical to the basic training:
Module 1 – Working at Heights
Module 2 – Manual Handling
Module 3 – Fire Awareness
Module 4 – First Aid
Module 5 – Sea survival
GWO Basic Safety Training Refresher (5 modules) are designed for those working in the wind energy sector, but can also be useful for those working in other industries where there is a risk of accidents or occupational illness related to working at height, carrying loads or fire hazards. These courses are aimed at people who want to renew and update the knowledge and skills necessary to perform their duties safely and prevent accidents and occupational diseases.
The course is valid for 2 years.
